People who suffering from epilepsy may experience recurrent seizures, which is the main symptom of epilepsy. These seizures are usually caused by abnormal electrical activity in the brain.
Each person may have different symptoms depend on the activity of brain area where seizures occur and the types of seizures.
There are two main types of epilepsy categorized by how much the brain is affected.
- Partial seizures: it only affects a small portion of the brain.
- Generalised seizures: affects all parts of the brain.
