Cholesterol is a type of fat that produced by the liver in the body and can be found in certain foods such as eggs, meat, butter, lard, and dairy products. It is needed by our body to maintain cell walls, make hormones, vitamin D, and substances for digesting foods.

In our body, cholesterol travels through the bloodstream attached to proteins. These proteins act like car, transporting the cholesterol to various parts of the body. This package of cholesterol and protein called lipoprotein.
