Anemia is a common blood disorder that occurs when the body does not have enough red blood cells.

If you have anemia, your body does not have enough red blood cells to supply oxygen to the body. As a result, people with anemia often feel tired or weakness. Severe or long-lasting anemia can cause damage to the heart, brain and even death.
